Develop and support small research groups that serve as pillars of convergent research in specific topics

Be inclusive of young researchers* with relatively fewer research opportunities so that the knowledge related to identifying creative research topics and research methods can be passed down to young researchers to ensure the creativity and convergence-mindedness of the next generation of researchers

* University faculty (including part-time) in S&E who obtained a doctoral degree within the last 7 years or who are aged 39 or younger

Research areas: All S&T areas

Eligibility: 3-5 university professors in S&E fields

Summary: Ensure the practical invigoration of joint research by supporting small research groups which serve as a link between individual and group research

Period: 3 years

※ Follow-up support available for up to 3 years after the conclusion of the 3-year research period for projects with outstanding performance

Funding: Up to KRW 500 million (USD 455 thousand*) annuall

 * approximation based on exchange rate of 1 USD = 1,100 KRW
