Improve the educational and research environment through financial support to select outstanding graduate students in Korea and assist them with focusing on learning and research

Encourage outstanding Ph.D. candidates to pursue their academic paths at graduate schools in Korea to strengthen the research competitiveness of Korean graduate schools and upgrade them into world-class institutions

Research areas: All areas in the humanities, social sciences and S&T

Eligibility: Students in masters-doctoral programs and doctoral programs at Korean universities (Korean nationals)

Summary: Research scholarship (KRW 20 million) + tuition (Up to KRW 10 million)

Period: 5 years (2+3) for masters-doctoral programs, 3 years (2+1) for doctoral programs

Funding: KRW 23.815 billion (USD 21.43 million*)

 * approximation based on exchange rate of 1 USD = 1,100 KRW
