Provide intensive support for the development of basic and original SW technology which is differentiated from existing support for IT R&D in order to secure long-term national competitiveness
Develop basic and original technology in next-generation SW fields such as system SW, SW engineering, information and intelligence systems and human-computer interaction (HCI)
Research areas: Research areas will include overall & subcategory projects in four areas: system SW (ultra-high-performance system SW and applied SW), SW engineering, information and intelligence systems and HCI
Eligibility: Researchers at universities and government-funded and private research institutes
Summary: Provide support for system SW, SW engineering, information and intelligence systems and HCI
Period: 5 years (3+2)
Funding: KRW 200 million – 3 billion (USD 182 thousand – 2.727 million*) per project per year
* approximation based on exchange rate of 1 USD = 1,100 KRW
