Establish the International Research Training Group as a group which approaches national key research areas with excellence and innovation, with an aim to produce outstanding world-class research groups and intensively support interdisciplinary research capacity and international research cooperation

Period: 9 years (Stage 1: 1 year~4.5 years, Stage 2: 4.5 years~9 years)

Research areas: All academic areas

Eligibility: Researchers affiliated with “universities” (including affiliated research institutes) and “research institutions” as defined under Article 2 of the Sciences Promotion Act, who are eligible to apply for projects in the name of the head of the relevant institution

Funding: 

KRW 150 million (EUR 111 thousand*) annually

 * approximation based on exchange rate of 1 EUR = 1,350 KRW
