Lay a foundation for providing sources of producing knowledge and developing unique research theories by supporting fundamental research in the humanities and social sciences

Establish a research infrastructure by providing top-down support for projects such as publishing dictionaries, building a basic research database, and accumulating research data for rare languages

· Program details

Research areas: All humanities and social sciences areas (including arts and sports, excluding Korean studies)

Eligibility: University-affiliated research institutes and domestic research institutions

Period: 3 years or 5 years (3+2)

Funding: Up to KRW 200 million (USD 182 thousand*) per year

 * approximation based on exchange rate of 1 USD = 1,100 KRW
