Produce practical research outcomes that can contribute to solving issues faced by both countries through strategic Korea-China joint research

Enhance the effectiveness of research outcomes by designating strategic areas in both countries and providing support to them

Period: Total 3 years

Research areas: Specific S&T areas

※ Annually determined by the Korea-China basic science exchange committee

Eligibility: Researchers affiliated with “universities” (including affiliated research institutes) and “research institutions” as defined under Article 2 of the Sciences Promotion Act, who are eligible to apply for projects in the name of the head of the relevant institution

Funding: Up to KRW 60 million (CNY 353 thousand*) annually per project, including overhead costs

 * approximation based on exchange rate of 1 CNY = 170 KRW

Summary: Provide support for direct costs and overhead costs incurred in conducting collaborative research
