Produce creative, convergence-oriented researchers for the next generation through the promotion of group research and support the creation of quality jobs for young researchers

Research areas: Science areas

Eligibility: University research groups with 10-15 researchers

Summary:  Strengthen Korea’s national basic research capacity through the establishment of new theories and tackling of scientific challenges by fostering outstanding research groups in various scientific fields

Period: Up to 7 years

※ Follow-up support available for up to 3 years after the conclusion of the research period for projects with outstanding performance

Funding: Up to KRW 1.560 billion (USD 1.418 million*) annually

 * approximation based on exchange rate of 1 USD = 1,100 KRW
