Strengthen mid-career researchers’ academic capacity as outstanding researchers and encourage the balanced development of various studies based on research diversity and the promotion of creative research

Research areas: Humanities and social sciences (including arts and sports)

Eligibility: University faculty who have been employed at the level of assistant professor or higher for more than 5 years, or researchers who obtained a doctoral degree more than 10 years ago

Summary: Provide research expenses

Period: 1–3 years / 10 years (5+5)

Funding: Up to KRW 20 million (USD 18 thousand*) annually, excluding overhead costs /
Up to KRW 10 million (USD 9 thousand*) annually, excluding overhead costs

 * approximation based on exchange rate of 1 USD = 1,100 KRW
